The John Firlit "Polka Carousel" radio program was broadcast
in the late 70's and early 80's on Radio Station "WLFH" in
Little Falls, New York.

You are now listening to the "Polka Carousel" with John Firlit.
All of the polka music played on the program is recorded and
being played by John from Vinyl records. Vinyl records have
a quite unique sound that is never found on CD's. There are
times when you can literally feel and smell the music coming
from the Vinyl espically knowing that the music is played by
"live" musicians. It is easy to get high on the music from
Vinyl but not that easy to get the same feel from digital compac
disc(CD's), although the Vinyl is very fragile in comparison with
the CD, the digital compac disc and the Vinyl are worlds apart.
You could say they were created in two different universes!
A Vinyl disc is of the source of analogue audio waves, which
are physcially produced therefore, playback requires an abrasive
physcial device such as a diamond stylus to literally trace
the groove to reproduce the recorded sound waves on the
Vinlyl disc.

Sit back and enjoy the John Firlit "Polka Carousel" as heard
in the late 70"s and early 80's on Radio!
